Intro

Yeast infection and UTI are common, but they're not serious or sexually transmitted (not to mention super uncomfortable). If you are looking for ways to treat or cure your yeast infection and other symptoms of vaginal problems naturally, you are at the right place!

Before I take you to my recipes, let's first talk about how to differentiate between UTI and Yeast Infection, causes and symptoms of each, and then will head to the recipes.

Comparison between UTI and Yeast Infection/Candida

UTI

Yeast Infection

Causes

UTI usually happens when bacteria from other parts of the body, like the rectum, make its way into the urinary tract causing an infection. This can happen due to wiping from back to front. Other factors include, but not limited to, sexual activity, diabetes, and obesity.

Yeast infection is usually caused by Candida which is a type of fungus. A vagina normally has yeast, yet Candida occurs when the last grows abnormally leading to inflammation. Wearing tight bottoms, excessive sweating, use of antibiotic, diabetes, contraceptives, steroids (cortisone), and chemotherapy are also other factors.

Symptoms

  • Burning during urination

  • Feeling the urge to urinate more often that usual yet won't urinate

  • Pressure in lower abdomen

  • Blood in urine

  • Vaginal itchiness

  • A thick white or yellow discharge

  • Pain during sexual intercourse

  • Blood in urine

  • Yeast infection sores

In some cases, the infection may worsen to include more severe symptoms including redness, swelling, and cracks in the wall of the vagina.

If you experience any of the mild symptoms, follow my recipes so you don't get it worsens and can even prevent it from reoccurring in the future. The great news here is that my recipes do not have any side effects as long as you test the essential oil with no allergic reaction.

A strong immune system and personal hygiene can prevent yeast infections and UTI. But how to get to that point?

In brief, a perfect routine is to take probiotics, follow a healthy diet, take supplements, do Yogurt Douches, and apply essential oils topically.

Now Let's Get More Into Depth with Home Remedies

Tip #1 - Topical Essential Oil

You will need:

  • Clove essential oil which is the strongest candida killer

  • Juniper berry essential oil

  • A carrier oil. I would use coconut fractionated oil because its fatty acid content breaks down candida overgrowth while boosting immunity, but you may use coconut oil or olive oil

  • Disposable gloves

Method:

Put gloves on, then put 1 teaspoon of the carrier oil of your choice in hand, add to them 1 drop of each of the essential oils. Apply the mix inside your vagina and around the area that might be feeling itchy. Remember to start with a patch test of this mix on the back of your hand before applying it on the said areas to avoid any possible allergic reaction.

You may also soak a cotton ball into the oil mix and then pass it on the affected areas.

Repeat every day until symptoms subside and then once every few days after that for prevention purposes.

Tip #2 - Insertable Yogurt Douches

You will need:

  • Unsweetened yogurt, preferably live-culture yogurt

  • Clove organic essential oil

  • Disposable gloves

  • Tampon
