Introduction
Let's get one thing straight, losing weight is not easy. It takes a lot of discipline and motivation to lose weight. But that's what I'm here for! I'm going to share with you my journey and mistakes I have had before I got to find the best and healthiest way.
When I was a kid, I was too skinny that I always wanted to gaining weight. When I finished hight school, I had some health issues and ended up getting some type of injections that later was said to cause fats no matter how skinny you are!
At the age of 25, 37% of my body was FATS! That's when I first visited a nutritionist who advised on changing my eating habits to eating high protein and veggies with low carbs and almost no fats. It was not doable especially that back then I was still home with mu family in Lebanon where we all eat food that is rich in fats and carbs made by beloved granny. To lose weight, which was not the main issue here, I started skipping meals and sometimes would eat low-fat biscuits thinking this would help. But no! With time, I gained more fats although I cut down on fats including cheese which I love much!
With life stresses, I lost too much weight again, yet still fats were relatively high. Until I came across Keto Diet like four years ago. I learned much about it, tried it with ups and downs, and as it takes a lot of work and calculations daily, I quit. But I didn't stop the whole thing!! Doing keto for sometime helped me learn what to eat, what to avoid, how to read ingredients and choose the correct products, and so I got to finally be at my best shape with the least workout and yummy food, but still active! 😉

Go on a Low-Carb Diet
If you look up typical online sources you will find that all you need to avoid when speaking of carbs is rice, pasta, and bread. But carbs is a much bigger list actually. Almost everything we consume daily contains carbs, even some of the supplements we might be taking. Which is why I say "Low Carb" and not "keto". As if you decide to go Keto, you will have to be very cautious about what you're eating or else you may end up elevating cholesterol and having more health issues.
We all know that carbs are the fastest source of energy for the body. But being the fastest to give energy means also the fastest to fade away, which means a quick boost of energy and feeling full, before you need more in no time leaving you in a cycle of hunger, which justifies starving and in some cases craving sugar. Add to this that when the body finds carbs, it uses it for energy leaving behind fats which then collects in the wrong areas and never goes away.
What should we do other than cutting down on low carbs?
1. Eat more animal-proteins and vegetables, and consume good fats and fruits moderately
Check the below table for some ideas of what you may include in your daily diet. Always go organic where possible.

2. Replace sugar with honey and natural sweeteners
Always go for organic products. Honey is a good and healthy sweetener, but consume it moderately. I wouldn't go with more than 1 TBSP a day. Stevia, on the other hand, can be used as much as you want; just get yourself used to the taste. Star introducing it to your diet by adding it with tea and coffee.

Drink Plenty of Fluids
Replace soda with sparkling water.
I personally do La Croix. There are though plenty of other choices. Just make sure you read the Nutrition Facts of a product and get those with zero sugar.
Drink teas
As long as you are not adding sugar, or are using Stevia or similar sweetener, drink as much as you want daily. When in the summer, you may make your own iced tea. Just do your favorite sugar-free tea and then add ice.
Add essential oils
Rule of thumb before I talk about this: get a high quality organic essential oil. Anything other than this will put you in risk especially when consumed.
Essential oils are absorbed into the body, so adding a few drops to water is a great way to get more nutrients and vitamins into your system while helping your body burn fats. Not only will it add nutrients, but also make the water taste good especially for those who struggle to drink water.
All you need is 1 to 2 drops in a whole bottle. I add 2 drops of lemon essential oil to my 32oz/1 liter bottle with iced water. You may also add 1 drop to your sparkling water can.
Oils to consume for fat burning:
Grapefruit
Lemon
Lime
Tangerine
Mandarin
Orange

Incorporate Essential Oils In your Diet
Now comes the fun!! THIS.IS.MAGIC!!!!!!
Curb appetite and craving
Inhale peppermint or grapefruit essential oil between meals. Put 2 drops of any of them in your hand and then inhale while keeping your face skin away so you don't get the oil directly on skin.
Burn fats
Apply grapefruit with a carrier oil on your belly button and around it to stimulate fat burning. This is by placing 2 drops of grapefruit essential oil to half teaspoon of sunflower seed oil, put into and around your belly button, and rub until absorbed. Repeat nightly for 2 weeks and then take a 1 week break before you repeat.
Apply the same ratio topically on specific areas of the body where fat stores are located such as the belly or thigh area (depending on what you want to target). This is done by placing 1-2 drops of oil into your hand and then rubbing it into your skin gently until absorbed. Repeat nightly for 2 weeks and then take a 1 week break before you repeat.
Diffuse grapefruit essential oil with any blend you like or just inhale it. Inhaling it decreases food intake and stimulates lipolysis (fat burning)
Add essential oils in your water (see recipe)
Cellulite Treatment
Grapefruit essential oil is your best go to if you have cellulite. To do so, start by taking a photo of the affected area, then start applying the same blend mentioned above on the affected area, twice daily. In 1 week take another photo and compare. You will start seeing results that fast! 😉
Conclusion
There is no such thing as "how to lose belly fat overnight", but if you do the above and incorporate the listed essential oils in our routine, I can promise you will start seeing a change in a couple weeks. Give it a try and let me know what happens!
